Greetings Ladies, Halloween is long past; however, I would like to mention the children’s party. Everyone that attended had a good time. Due to the generosity of our ladies all the children won a cake at our cake walk. In addition prizes were given to all the children. I would like to thank all the women who participated in bringing food on Veteran’s Day. This is an annual tradition and probably the most important day for our ladies. We fed a large amount of people this holiday. Special thanks go to Patsy Espinoza, Mary Louise Espinoza and Marcella Montoya for making sure there was always food on the table and for cleaning up afterwards. We also had a couple of fund raisers for the ladies Auxiliary that day along with our annual Buddy Poppies fundraiser. Armando Montoya from the Men’s auxiliary handcrafted a beautiful tin cross that he donated and was tipped off. Trudy Hopkins worked especially hard. She donated an afghan of the American flag which she crocheted and then worked on selling the chances for the afghan. All proceeds were given to us. On Tuesday, November 20th Thanksgiving baskets were made and distributed. We made 32 baskets. Thanks goes out to all members who donated food. SPECIAL thanks to Mr. Eloy Sanchez for his generous donation of all the turkeys, pies and dressing. God Bless you. I would like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all the ladies and their families. Please keep those members who have passed away this year and their families in our prayers. Christmas is just around the corner. There will be a sign up list for children under the age of 12 at the Canteen after Thanksgiving.. Please put the child’s name, age and sex on the list. DEADLINE FOR NAMES IS DECEMBER 10TH. The annual Children’s party will be Saturday, DECEMBER 15TH. 1 TO 4 PM. Come and see Santa. District Meeting will be held January 13th, 2008 in Espanola.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Your Auxiliary President,
Patricia Chavez
